About Grace Bible Fellowship of Antioch

Grace Bible Fellowship was birthed in a local hair salon owned by Reverend Kirkland and Sister Smith. For one year God’s favored rained over the weekly bible studies held at the Heavenly Hair Beauty Salon in Antioch. Remaining faithful to Christ and to the leadership at Fremont Bible Fellowship in January 2003 Reverend Kirkland A. Smith, Sister Smith and 30 charter members marched into what is now known as Grace Bible Fellowship of Antioch CA. Within one year explosive growth in ministry and membership manifested and by January 2004 they celebrated the move of God which now serves over 1000 members each Sunday and countless ministries designed to meet the needs of the community.

Our Pastor

Kirkland A. Smith was born on January 25, 1965 in San Francisco, CA.  He attended St Ignatius College Prep, San Francisco, CA, San Jose State University, San Jose, CA earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Management and attended World Harvest Seminary Master’s program.

Pastor Smith is married to Qwivander T. Smith.  Together they have five children, Erika age 20, Quincy age 17, Kendall age 14, Kameron age 12, and Kaleb who is 10 years old.

Pastor Smith’s ministry focus is to preach the gospel in a “real manner”, to “real people”, thus ensuring “Real change.” Pastor Smith’s heart is for the unsaved and unchurched and those in the body who need a jump-start to their intimacy with God through Jesus Christ. Pastor Smith is a living witness to the saving and changing grace that the Lord can pour out on your life. He encourages others to taste and see that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8).

Pastor Smith has previously served as a Deacon and on staff as Minister of Missions at Fremont Bible Fellowship Church in Fremont, CA where Horacio S. Jones is Pastor.  He was also the Director of Tri Cities Community Development Center.

Pastor Smith is currently the founder and Pastor of a rapidly growing ministry, Grace Bible Fellowship of Antioch, Antioch, CA, with a second location in Brentwood, CA. At Grace hundreds of lives are being saved, healed, and delivered monthly. Grace is a committed church that develops committed Christians for the Kingdom of God.

Our First Lady

First Lady Qwivander Smith is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. The first of five children, she has always felt the call of God on her life and was saved at the early age of 10. Sister Smith accepted Christ at an early age thus allowing her to mature into a wonderful woman of vision.

Being called of God, Sister Smith relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she would meet and later marry Kirkland A. Smith.  Together they have been blessed with five beautiful children. Sister Smith faithfully served and received most of her spiritual nourishment at Fremont Bible Fellowship Church in Fremont, CA; (now known as Family Bible Fellowship located in Newark, CA) under the leadership of their spiritual parents, Pastor Horacio and First Lady Florence Jones.

Presently, Sister Smith is actively involved in many aspects of the church and holds the awesome responsibility of exhortation.  She is the Director of a highly visible Women’s Ministry, which has established My Sister’s Keeper, Helping Hands, Ruth & Naomi Ministries, Heart 2 Heart (a mentoring program for young girls ages 12-18), as well as a being a wife, mother and a business woman.

Sister Smith is also Co-Facilitator with Pastor Smith at an annual Marriage Conference held in Fresno, CA. Her agape love and compassion for God’s people of all ages is prevalent in all she does.

Sister Smith brings to life her message with vivid illustrations of relevant issues and offers biblical guidelines and instructions for living. As a visionary, she blesses souls by keeping alive the biblical vision that God has mandated in his Word for holy living. Lifting up the Lord is dear to her because this, she believes, is the anchor for living; much of which has characterized her walk with the Lord, and has made her a stable and reliable source of inspiration to many.

Teamed with her husband, this dynamic duo seeks to radically impact lives for God’s Kingdom by ministering side-by-side the Anointed Word of God in love and in truth.
